Valeo flat wiper blades and silicon rubber wiper blades do a great job of cleaning rain, slush, sleet, dirt and everything else off your car’s windshield or windscreen, sometimes with a squirt of washer fluid to help them along. Valeo Ultimate ultra-flat wiper blades, also called low-profile wiper blades, are all-season summer wipers and winter wiper blades to cover more of your car windshield to give you both the best visibility and the lowest noise levels. There’s one thing that allows you to see the road, and that’s your windshield. In all weather, you need a good windshield wiper and wiper arm, with a quality wiper motor, to clear your glass of whatever you’re driving through–rain, snow or road dirt.

Valeo front or rear flat car wiper blades come in aerodynamic aero wiper blades, high-performance wiper models, and curved wipers to match your windshield. Most European cars come from the factory with Valeo windshield wipers, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW and Volvo. They’re stronger and heavier, use higher-quality rubber and fit your car better. Valeo 600-series Premium wipers are a generic fit in precision lengths for almost any car, import or domestic. Valeo 700-series Original wipers are the OEM (original equiment) on many cars. Valeo 800-series SWF wiper blades are original equipment on fine European models, and Valeo 900-series are their ultimate all-season, summer and winter windshield wipers.

Valeo’s newest wiper is the synthetic rubber Tec 3. It’s better than anything from Bosch, Anco or Trico. Always carry a spare premium aftermarket replacement wiper with you, a refill for emergencies, and some washer fluid. Drivers side wipers and passenger side wipers are often different sizes, as are wipers for your rear glass, so be sure to have the right refill in your auto, and keep your washer nozzle open, too. Replacement wiperblades are the centerpiece of a wiper system, one which includes properly a functioning wiper linkage, wiper motor and windshield wiper arm. Whether you use flat wipers or conventional, silicon wipers or synthetic rubber wiper blades, a good spare replacement wiper blade is easy insurance to buy.

Valeo Transmissions, Pt II: Transmissions and flywheels

Valeo Transmissions is famous for their clutches, but they have many flywheel and transmission parts, as well. Valeo makes both solid flywheels and dual-mass flywheels, as well as clutch master cylinders and clutch slave cylinders.

Valeo flywheels, in both OE style and lightweight aluminum performance flywheels, are available for new cars and collector cars. Where your car is equipped with a dual-mass flywheel, and you want to convert to a solid disk for heavy-duty use, a Valeo flywheel conversion kit can convert an OE dual-mass flywheel into a solid rotation type. Valeo solid flywheels are made for manual transmission and automatic transmission cars and trucks, and include domestic cars, as well as Japanese and European import cars.

Valeo dual mass flywheels (DMF) use two internal weights to smooth out driveline stresses between transmission and engine. By damping vibration at the flywheel itself, the ride is smoother, and it extends the life of your automatic transmission or manual transmission, meaning you won’t need a rebuilt transmission as soon. Repair is less likely as well. Easier shifting and longer rigid disc life sound cushy, but Valeo makes dual-mass flywheels for Z06 and LT1 Chevrolet Corvettes, for Ford F-series Diesel pickups and many Chevy and GMC trucks, including Duramax Diesels.

Valeo clutch slave cylinders and clutch master cylinders are original equipment quality or better in a compact design that eliminates clutch problems. Once again, Valeo makes them for domestic, European import cars and Japanese import cars, like Ford, GMC, Dodge, Chevrolet, Buick, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Jeep, Pontiac, Volkswagen, Volvo, BMW, Mitsubishi, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Mazda, Isuzu, Hyundai, Acura, Plymouth, Subaru, Suzuki, Saturn, Audi, Porsche and Saab.

Transmission problems, whether it’s an automatic or manual, aren’t actually always in the transmission. Sometimes, what seems like a slipping transmission is a problem with your clutch or flywheel. Perhaps you need to bleed your clutch, or maybe it’s time for a new clutch master or slave cylinder. You can use a rebuilt transmission with no worry, but when it comes to clutch hydraulics or flywheels, Valeo OE quality is the only way to go.

The first question you should ask yourself is, what are you looking for in clutch parts? If you’re looking for a new clutch good enough to be used in most of the Mustangs built since 1984, as well as in 7.3-liter Ford trucks, the Taurus SHO and Thunderbird, you’re looking for a Valeo clutch.

Valeo Transmissions is the name of the company, but Valeo is the first name in clutches worldwide. At the heart of Valeo Transmissions are their OE replacement clutch kits, the best clutch master cylinders, clutch slave cylinders, clutch hydraulics and clutch cables made. They’re not only high-quality, they’re complete clutch kits, as well. If you need a replacement clutch,Valeo Transmissions clutches are found in most imported cars. For Japanese and Korean imports, you can get Valeo OE clutch parts for Daewoo, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru and Suzuki. If you have a European car, like Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Fiat, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Saab, Volkswagen or Volvo, there’s a new clutch from Valeo for you.

When you put aftermarket clutch parts in your car, you don’t want to have to perform endless clutch adjustments, or worry about a clutch kit that’s not complete. Valeo OE replacement clutch kits have everything you or your mechanic needs in one box, including a clutch disc assembly, pressure plate cover assembly, release bearing, alignment tool, grease pack and installation guide. When necessary, Valeo clutches include a pilot bearing and technical service bulletin, and some kits also come with a flywheel.

Valeo doesn’t just make quality stock OE clutch replacements, either; they also make aftermarket performance upgrades, with the Valeo Signature series. These street/strip clutch kits have a performance-matched pressure plate and disc along with a release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool for complete installation. With up to 65% more holding power, they’ll stand up to your smoky burnouts and street starts, without a rock-hard clutch pedal.

Whether you need a clutch for a Corvette or Camaro, a conversion kit for a 6.6-liter Duramax Diesel pickup or Dodge Ram, or a truck clutch for medium- and heavy-duty trucks from Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Freightliner, GMC, Hino, Isuzu, Kenworth, Mack, Mercedes-Benz , Mitsubishi Fuso, Navistar, Nissan UD, Peterbilt, Scania or Volvo, Valeo Transmissions means clutches.

When cars first hit the road, Philips Automotive Lighting was there to illuminate the darkness. But those bulbs shed a pale glow compared to the brilliant white Xenon high-intensity (HID) and now even high-efficiency LED lights that appear in cars from around the world.

It’s that combination of quality and experience that has made Philips a first choice for BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz headlights, but those same Philips bulbs are also an ideal upgrade when you need to replace your own car lights, no matter what the make. You may not think of it that way, but bright, white lighting is a huge safety feature: The farther you can project clear light down the road, the better your chances at avoiding trouble, before it even starts. In many cars, it’s as simple as replacing your old bulb with bright VisionPlus; the new automotive tri-color NightGuide; X-treme Power halogen (up to 80% brighter and still street-legal); or the HID-look CrystalVision Ultra, HID light from a halogen bulb. You’ll notice the difference the first time you switch them on.

For those who want the best automobile headlights available, Philips offers Xenon HID conversion kits, with CrystalVision 5000ºK bulbs and Hella ballasts, which produce as much as three times the light as your old system. It’s the brightest Xenon HID system available, and 5000ºK means it’s almost like sunlight.

If efficiency is your concern, Philips also offers an innovative line of new EcoVision green bulbs, the first headlights that actually save you gas while also providing the famous Philips quality. For sheer style, however, the aftermarket loves BlueVision, with an unmistakable blue/white look that’s brighter, too. Drivers with daytime running lights (DRLs) will like LongerLife, every bit as bright as your regular halogens but with twice the lifespan. Philips doesn’t neglect motorcycles, either, offering MotoVision, made specifically for bikes. Philips thinks a bike you can see is the safest bike, so MotoVision motorcycle lightbulbs produce a unique, orange-tinted light that’s aggressive, easy to see and distinctive.

All those Philips Automotive Lighting technologies—EcoVision, MotoVision, CrystalVision, NightGuide, Xenon HID and Hella conversion kits, X-treme Power, VisionPlus, LongerLife and BlueVision—are today’s leading edge. But Philips is working on the lights of tomorrow, too, with the Luxeon series of automotive LEDs. Luxeons are the brightest and whitest LEDs on the market today, and they’re more than just headlights, they’re in daytime running lights, turn signals, fog lights, side markers, interior and backup lamps. They’re simply the finest headlights in the world.

Beck/Arnley is the name behind the name for OE replacement parts for imported cars. It would literally be impossible to list them all: Beck/Arnley offers parts for more than 650 different cars from 50 import names. Maybe you need engine parts, an oil filter or air filter for your Nissan or other Japanese car? Beck/Arnley has a unique library of parts, so their replacement car parts are as good as they can be. Used cars need replacement parts more often, and you might need truck parts, too, so Beck/Arnley car parts are an exact fit for the original equipment on any European import car or Japanese imported car.

The thousands of Beck/Arnley auto parts are not just engine parts like pistons, bearings, head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, oil filters and fuel filters; they’re also clutch and driveline parts (which include clutch kits, power steering pumps and steering racks); brake and chassis parts (including brake calipers, brake pads, disc brakes, brake drums, brake shoes, as well as CV boots and suspension parts like tie rods and ball joints); cooling systems (where you find water pumps and thermostats); engine management (which means EGR valves, fuel pumps, sensors and ignition parts); and automotive electrical parts (like distributors, alternators and starters).

If you have a recall notice for your car, be sure to rely on Beck/Arnley, so that you are provided with the quality car parts you need, instead of some generic, inferior knockoff that might give you transmission problems. The automotive parts you need for car repair or car accessories you just want for appearance or performance shouldn’t be discount parts that will leave you stranded. Whether you have a car like a Nissan or Mitsubishi, VW, Audi, Jaguar or Mercedes, even a Porsche, Beck/Arnley auto parts, truck parts and car accessories are the spare and replacement import car parts for maintenance and repair that great mechanics have trusted since 1914.

When you need a water pump, doesn’t it make sense to turn to the world’s largest maker of water pumps? Aisin Automotive Castings isn’t a household name if you don’t spend a lot of time taking engines apart, but Toyota, Honda, Nissan and General Motors all put Aisin water pumps in their new cars, because they know when it comes to coolant, you don’t mess around. Year after year, Aisin has even been named both General Motors and Toyota “supplier of the year.”

Aisin sure sounds like a Japanese company, and indeed, they started making automotive parts in 1945, but the great thing about Aisin water pumps is that today, they’re made in America. Aisin set up shop in the USA in 1970. Chrysler, which uses Aisin water pumps, has been bailed out and sold twice since then, while Aisin has been building plants in the USA, hiring American workers to build top-quality OEM and replacement water pumps. At their American home base in Kentucky, Aisin is an active and generous member of the community. Their commitment goes beyond charity, and Aisin water pumps actively seeks to improve the environment, as well, pioneering environmentally friendly, green manufacturing techniques. Their stated goal is to become a zero-emissions company. They even have programs in place to ensure fair treatment of their own suppliers, something you certainly can’t say for all automakers.

The environment isn’t the only thing Aisin seeks to improve. As the top supplier of water pumps to Japanese car manufactures, they have the resources to lead in new technology as well. Aisin water pumps are designed to provide the best cooling with the least drain on your engine, high-corrosion resistance, small size and light weight, all while providing the best engine cooling. They’re also some of the strongest, with high-strength diecast aluminum bodies and carbon ceramic mechanical seals that make sure coolant leaks don’t happen. You can’t control what automotive water pump goes in your new car, but isn’t it nice to know that when it’s an Aisin water pump, it’s the best you can get? From Toyota Tundra pickup to Freightliner big rig, from the Honda Accord to Komatsu forklift, car water pumps from Aisin are used wherever manufacturers simply want the best water pump they can get.
